. . . line edits are almost done, and I have a new title!
My book, coming next fall from Razorbill, is now quite aptly called THE REPLACEMENT, and here is the summary:
Mackie Doyle seems like everyone else in the perfect little town of Gentry, but he is living with a fatal secret – he is a Replacement, left in the crib of a human baby sixteen years ago. Now the creatures under the hill want him back, and Mackie must decide where he really belongs and what he really wants.
Also, it is a love story. Just so you know.
This sounds awesome! I really want to read it!
Thanks! I’m excited for SHADOW HILLS–the cover looks great!
Love it! Wasn’t it FE before? I’m trying to remember. See you Thursday!
(And good luck with the rest of line edits!)
Yay, line edits are officially done! (And yes, it was originally FE, which was . . . tremendously ambiguous.) See you this evening!
*is very, very intrigued*
Sounds awesome!
Thanks :D
I love the simple title and the story is very, “gimme more!”
Looking forward to it!
Thanks :D I’m glad you like it!
I love the new title!
Thanks!
Ooh, great summary! I can’t wait to read it! (Wasn’t it called “FE” before? ‘Cause, I must admit, I’m gonna miss that title a little.)
Yeah, I still have a tiny soft spot for FE myself. But I can be honest–it had some flaws. Namely, no one knew what it meant or how to pronounce it ;)
Congrats on almost being done with your line edits!
And your novel sounds super interesting–can’t wait to check it out!!
can’t wait to check it out!!
And . . . I just had another of those surreal loops where I realize: woah, someone other than me is probably going to read the book. Soooooo disorienting :D
Sounds great!
Thanks! Glad you stopped by :)
